Singles Ready to Mingle: Explore Our New Single Origin Coffee Range
The Bean Cartel is a dedicated single origin coffee roaster in Melbourne and we’re so excited to share our new range. Each coffee comes straight from one origin, one community, and one group of farmers and each has a personality all of its own.
What is Single Origin Coffee
Unlike blends which combine beans from multiple countries for a balanced profile single origins are all about showcasing the unique flavour of one place. The soil, climate, altitude, and farming practices all shape the final cup. It’s coffee at its purest and most distinctive.
But for us, it’s also about connection: when you buy a single origin, you’re directly supporting the farmers who grew it. That’s why each one in our range now shares some information about the coffee farms and our sustainable coffee approach.
Why We’re Sharing More About Our Coffee Farms and Sustainable Coffee Approach
At The Bean Cartel, we’re about more than dangerously good coffee. We’re about coffee with conscience. Every cup you brew should not only taste incredible but also make a positive impact where it was grown. That’s why we’ve chosen to share more about the farms and the communities behind our new Single Origin Coffee range.
When we select coffees, we look beyond the beans. We ask:
-
Does this farm invest back into its community?
-
Are farmers paid fairly for their work?
-
Are sustainable practices being used to protect the land for future generations?
We work directly with producers and sourcing partners who share these values. It's important to us to support farmers who support their workers.
These are communities where coffee isn’t just an export, it’s the foundation of livelihoods and local progress.

Is Single Origin Coffee Better?
Depends on what you like! If you're curious about how single origin coffee really compares to blends, we’ve already unpacked that in detail in our blog, here:
Single Origin Coffee Beans vs Blends.
In that post, we explore why blends are often chosen for their balance and consistency especially in milk-based drinks while single origins showcase the distinct flavours of a particular region or farm.
Both have their place in specialty coffee, and at The Bean Cartel we roast and enjoy them all. But if you want to experience the personality of a place in your cup whether it’s the sweetness of Timor-Leste Sakoko, the layered richness of Burundi Mutambu, or the bright complexity of Rwanda Inzovu single origin coffee could be perfect for you.
We hope you enjoy this new range, and hearing more about the stories behind the farms and communities that make these coffees possible.
